Getting water to suffering people isn't as easy as it looks, what with all the obstacles as we cross the country, the war zones, the leaky pipes...
At camp, we may complain about the toilets, but at least they're cleaned and disinfected, and we have safe, clean water coming out of a tap on the site.
Across the world, at least 1.2 million people die every year as a result of drinking contaminated water. Every day, 6,000 children die from diarrhoea caused by dirty water and poor sanitation.
What's more, many people spend large parts of their day walking long distances to collect water, preventing women from doing other important tasks and stopping children from attending school.
Development agencies need donations from governments to ensure that every person has access to clean water, without having to walk miles for it, and that people are educated about sanitation.
